CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Michael Brantley has returned and Abraham Almonte should return soon. For Corey Kluber, it will be a bit longer.
The Indians welcomed Brantley back to the starting lineup on Friday evening. He missed the club's recent series in Toronto because of a sprained right ankle, suffered on a dash to first base last Sunday in Kansas City.
Brantley tested his ankle with some running at Progressive Field on Thursday. Almonte also ventured to the ballpark on the club's off-day. He "felt a pinch" in his right shoulder on a swing during the series finale at Rogers Centre on Wednesday.
