Michael Brantley gets outfield assist in 2nd straight game for Indians

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Michael Brantley threw out Oakland's Yonder Alonso at second base in the sixth inning Wednesday, marking the second game in a row the Indians left fielder recorded an outfield assist.

Brantley cut down Athletics outfielder Ryon Healy at home plate on Tuesday after a base hit by Adam Rosales.

Alonso drove a 2-0 pitch from Tribe starter Mike Clevinger off the wall in left field. Brantley played the carom perfectly with a bare-handed grab, throwing to second baseman Jason Kipnis in one motion.

The throw arrived in plenty of time, but slightly off line.
