CLEVELAND, Ohio - Corey Kluber reached 1,000 strikeouts faster than any pitcher in franchise history on Wednesday night at Progressive Field. As for winning a ballgame, well, the Indians are still working on that.
Yasiel Puig, the LA Flipper, was Kluber's 1,000th strikeout victim as he went down swinging in the fifth inning. Puig flipped off some heckling fans on Tuesday night after he hit a two-run homer off Trevor Bauer. MLB suspended him for one game, but he's appealing the suspension.
Puig didn't do any further damage Wednesday, but the Dodgers continued to do more than their fair share against an unexpected target - the previously untouchable Andrew Miller.
