Logan Allen will take the mound in the club’s home opener against the Kansas City Royals on Monday, April 5, making his first career start for Cleveland since being acquired from the San Diego Padres in three-team mid-season trade in 2019.
Allen made three appearances out of the bullpen for Cleveland last season, recording a 3.37 ERA through 10.2 innings of work. He had an impressive spring training, outdueling both Triston McKenzie and Cal Quantrill for the fourth spot in the rotation. Allen made four appearances this spring, including two starts, and finished with a 0.64 ERA in 14 innings pitched.
