On the morning of March 12, I sent out the staff prediction templates to Let’s Go Tribe staff like every year. It was one of many things planned for the remaining days leading up to Opening Day. Personally, it’s always one of my favorites and I couldn’t wait to see what everyone said, but the world had other plans.
Mere hours later, Major League Baseball announced that Opening Day would be pushed back to an undisclosed date. That date eventually became sometime in May ... then June ... then maybe never ... then early July. And finally MLB and the MLBPA landed on July 23 as the magical day we have been waiting for a little longer than usual.
