Tomlin, who entered Thursday’s game with an absymal 6.44 ERA, pitched well in what most likely was his final appearance of 2018, giving up just one earned run over 4 2⁄3 innings. Tomlin didn’t figure into the decision, as the ballgame went into extra innings, with the Tribe losing 2-1.
Tomlin gave up four hits, struck out five, and didn’t allow a walk (classic Tomlin). The one run came on a solo homer (not going to say it) from Kansas City’s Adalberto Mondesi.
