It looks like the Twins may end up standing in the Guardians way in 2026 after all

Last season was a disaster for the Minnesota Twins. Not only did they put a subpar showing on the diamond (70-92 record), but they also spent the year in a weird gray area while the Pohlad family explored a sale of the team.

While they didn’t end up selling, the Twins had a full-scale fire sale at the trade deadline that was headlined by them trading away Carlos Correa.

And earlier this offseason it looked like that fire sale may continue into the offseason thanks to some reporting from MLB insiders about how the Twins were exploring trading veterans like Byron Buxton, Joe Ryan, Pablo López, among others.
