Indians Pitcher Danny Salazar Back in Cleveland After Akron Throwing Session Nixed Due to Shoulder Stiffness

CLEVELAND – 2017 has been a disaster thus far for Indians pitcher Danny Salazar, and Friday came news that is not going to make this season any better.

Salazar, who is currently on the disabled list, had a throwing session in AA Akron cut short due to a stiff shoulder.

The Tribe starter was set to work with Akron pitching coach Tony Arnold on trying to figure out some of the issues that already this season has seem him get demoted from starter to the bullpen.

“In his throwing session the other day he complained of shoulder stiffness,” Indians manager Terry Francona said.
