CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the 2017 Major League roster:
Activated RHP DANNY SALAZAR (#31) from the 10-day Disabled List.
Optioned LHP RYAN MERRITT to AAA Columbus.
Salazar has been on the disabled list since June 4 with right shoulder soreness, posting a mark of 3-5 with a 5.40 ERA over 12 appearances/10 starts with Cleveland in 2017 (55.0IP, 59H, 33ER, 11HR, 28BB, 77SO).
He made 4 rehab starts beginning on July 1 across three levels of the club’s Player Development system, going 2-2 with a 3.
