AKRON, Ohio — Todd Hankins and Eric Haase each had three RBI, and starter Shawn Morimando improved his record to 9-0 as the RubberDucks defeated the Altoona Curve, 11-4, in a Class AA Eastern League game Tuesday at Canal Park.
The RubberDucks (36-15) buried the Curve after taking a 6-3 lead into the seventh inning.
With one out, shortstop Eric Stamets doubled to right field off Curve reliever Jhondaniel Medina. Catcher Reese McGuire attempted to pick off Stamets at second, but a throwing error allowed Stamets to move to third.
