Guardians 2 - Yankees 3: Cleveland Drops Game 1 in the Bronx

After a Monday off day, the Cleveland Guardians moved on to the Bronx to face the New York Yankees in game one of a three game series.

Cleveland offense started off quickly with Angel Martínez and José Ramírez hitting back-to-back one out singles. Both were left stranded with David Fry and Carlos Santana striking out back-to-back and the side went in order for the top of the second and top of the third.

The Yankees were struggling against Tanner Bibee who started the game with his ace level stuff. Bibee struck out the top of the Yankees line up and had continued to face the minimum through the bottom of the third.
