After splitting the double header yesterday, the Cleveland Guardians and the Kansas City Royals faced off in the last game of the series.
The Guards had a strong start that disappointingly, and quickly, fizzled out. Steven Kwan hit a lead off single to start the game. Angel Martínez was hit-by-pitch and José Ramírez hit a single of his own to load the bases. A flyout, strikeout, and groundout retired the next three batters, ruining the scoring potential.
The Royals answered similarly, but with more success. Joey Cantillo gave up a lead off walk followed by a double to right.
