The Guardians won the series against the Yankees but did not secure the sweep, losing 5-1 to the Yankees today and striking out eight times against Carlos Rodon, scratching out only four hits and two walks in his seven scoreless innings.
Guardians starter Luis Ortiz did his Jekyll/Hyde thing where had had two terrible innings and two great innings. Bottom line, you can't walk five guys and expect to win a ballgame. Also, giving up hard hits to Aaron Judge, Ben Rice and Paul Goldschmidt every time isn't going to help your cause.
