Before writing this game thread, I took a nap that was fueled by allergy medications. During that nap I had a dream that Corey Kluber gave up 5 runs in the first inning, then 3 more runs in the second inning. While this hopefully doesn’t happen, I think it shows that my subconscious is still somewhat haunted by some of the pitching performances I saw over the weekend.
The bullpen is coming off a brutal stretch, with few off days and a couple of injuries. It would be nice if it could get an extra day’s rest, in addition to Monday’s off day.
