I’m not sure how tonight’s game can replicate the deluge of emotions of yesterday, but you can pretty much bet your bottom dollar that Frankie Lindor will try for one heck of an encore.
His game-winning homer was the kind of stuff that gets retold for generations to come. The sheer exuberance of that moment, which was just made all the more incredible by the purely unabashed joy by an elated mom and tens of Lindor’s family members, you’d be forgiven if you mistook this mid-April game for a playoff clincher.
Sometimes certain moments are so big that they can’t be properly explained.
