Francona locks in Bauer to start Game 5

CHICAGO -- Indians manager Terry Francona confirmed before Game 3 of the World Series on Friday night that right-hander Trevor Bauer will start Sunday's Game 5 on three days' rest.

Cleveland had penciled Bauer in for Game 5, but no announcement had been made until Friday because of a recent injury to Bauer's right pinkie finger.

The World Series shifts to Chicago for Game 3 tonight (7:30 p.m. ET air time /8 ET game time on FOX) wth the series tied at 1 after the Cubs topped the Indians, 5-1, in Game 2 in Cleveland.
