CLEVELAND, Ohio - Manager Terry Francona's offense on Wednesday night consisted of one swing by Francisco Lindor. He hit a 2-2 pitch from Sean Manaea over the left field wall in a 3-1 loss to Oakland.
The loss ended a three-game winning streak for the Indians, a team that is still trying to find a way to put together an extended stretch of well-played games. Whenever they seem to be onto something, somebody gets hurt, a starter throws a bad game or they run into a pitcher such as Manaea.
One path toward better baseball that the Indians would have no problem following is to have Lindor keep hitting home runs.
