The Indians could have really used a boost to their outfield this offseason with the likes of a reunion with Michael Brantley, but those dreams are now over.
Brantley, who played with the Tribe from 2009 to 2018, has agreed to a three-year deal with the Toronto Blue Jays, who also made a massive signing on Tuesday inking CF George Springer to a six-year deal worth $150 million.
Toronto adding Brantley gives the Jays another boost to their outfield. In 2019 with Houston Brantley hit .311 with 22 homers and 90 runs batted in.
Mostly playing in right field during his Major League career, Brantley is a four-time All-Star and a one-time Silver Slugger Award winner back in 2014 with the Indians when he hit 20 homers and drove in 97 runs.
