Flat tires, potholes and inflatable rafts: Horror stories from minor-league bus trips

(Via Twitter)

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- When James Ramsey reflects upon the horror stories, he laughs.

After the fact, the tales evoke laughter. At the time, players can hardly prop open their eyelids, let alone muster the energy to chuckle.

Ramsey wasn't laughing when a tire on the team bus tapped out, or when the vehicle's air conditioning failed, or when the bus pulled into the hotel parking lot at 6 a.m. on the morning of a double header, or the team arrived at its desired city at 4 a.m. and Ramsey watched his pitching coach enter an already-occupied room because of a hotel error.
