Five-run first inning propels Columbus victory, Lynchburg shut out in loss

A five-run first inning propelled Columbus to victory. Yandy Diaz, Richie Shaffer, Chris Colabello and Adam Moore all had multi-hit games for the Triple-A club. All four players also collected at least one RBI in the game as well.

The offense backed up a decent effort from Adam Plutko, who gave up three runs in five innings while striking out four and walking one to pick up the win. Joe Colon, Tyler Olson and Cole Sulser combined for four shutout innings of relief to avert any chance of a Scranton comeback.
