CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Shortstop Eric Stamets would not mind if the Columbus Clippers could play the Norfolk Tide more often. The Clippers are the Cleveland Indians Class AAA affiliate.
Especially since Stamets had the four-game series of his baseball life over the Memorial Holiday weekend when the Clippers hosted the Tide.
Stamets entered the series with one home run in 34 games. He hit five during the series, including two home runs in back-to-back games. Stamets was 11-of-13 with four doubles and 12 RBIs in the series. After hitting two home runs in his first two at bats on Monday, Stamets left the game because of back stiffness.
