It took 36 exhibition games, but Edward Encarnacion finally did what people have been waiting for him to do -- hit a home run in an Indians' uniform. In the Tribe's last exhibition game of the spring Friday night, Encarnacion started the second inning at Chase Field with his first and only home run of the spring.
He added a double as well in his final tuneup before the Indians open the regular season Monday night against Texas. Encarnacion hit 42 homers last season for the Blue Jays and has averaged 39 homers per season over the last five years.
