Danger in the outfield: Can the Cleveland Indians get by with the unit as currently constructed?

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- For the last decade, every Indians Opening Day outfield has featured at least one of Michael Brantley or Grady Sizemore.

Barring some medical miracle healing Brantley's right shoulder at an expedited pace, that streak will end on April 4, 2016. That afternoon at Progressive Field, the Indians figure to start some hodgepodge collection of Joey Butler, Collin Cowgill, Rajai Davis, Abraham Almonte and Lonnie Chisenhall at the three outfield spots. Perhaps welterweights Shane Robinson, Michael Choice and Robbie Grossman could complete an upset and factor into the equation.

No matter who emerges from the pack, unless the Indians make a wave on the transaction front -- they're bound to make another ripple or two -- the Opening Day outfield will resemble the cast of characters that have surrounded the two mainstays over the last 10 years.
