The Clippers brought the bats and the arms to finally put an end to their losing streak on Tuesday.
Johnathan Rodriguez led the way offensively, going 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and a walk. He wasn’t the only one to homer, however. C.J. Kayfus blasted off, as did Brayan Rocchio. Petey Halpin also went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base.
Vince Velazquez was sensational from the mound, tossing 5.2 shutout innings with eight strikeouts and just two hits allowed.
Will Dion and Franco Aleman locked things down the rest of the way to preserve the victory.
