The Indians will activate Nick Swisher from the disabled list for Tuesday night's game in Kansas City. Tyler Holt will be optioned back to Triple-A Columbus to make room for Swisher on the active roster.
Swisher has been recovering from operations on both of his knees, and hasn't played for the Indians since last August. He had a dreadful season in 2014, with poor defense and a line of just .208/.278/.331, making him one of the worst regular players in the league. We can only hope that his knees were bothering him all year, and he's truly healed now, ready to get back to being a productive player.
