WASHINGTON, D.C. – Indians outfield prospect Bradley Zimmer left Sunday's game against Class AAA Toledo after injuring the middle finger on his left hand while trying to bunt.
The Indians will re-evaluate the injury Thursday. In a postgame interview Chris Tremie, Zimmer's manager at Class AAA Columbus, felt that he'd be all right.
Outfielders Zimmer and Clint Frazier were promoted to Columbus from Class AA Akron on the same day. The power-hitting Frazier and left-hander Justus Sheffield were among the prospects the Indians traded to the Yankees on July 31 for lefty Andrew Miller.
