Cleveland Indians miss opportunity for Texas Rangers sweep

Missed scoring opportunities and defensive lapses cost Tribe dearly again.

Indians fall to 14-22

The Tribe had to be at their most hapless to lose this encounter against a decidedly mediocre Rangers team. As a team they somehow contrived to strand nine on base in the first five innings, while making fielding blunders and losing another out on the basepaths.

Brandon Moss and Lonnie Chisenhall were the worst culprits offensively, both going 0-4 with six left on base each. They set the tone in the 1st inning when they both struck out swinging after Kipnis and Murphy had reached.
