DETROIT – Juan Uribe's feelings were hurt.
He was dressed from head to toe in black for Sunday's charter flight from Detroit to Atlanta following the Indians ninth straight victory, a 9-3 decision over Detroit at Comerica Park.
The finishing touch to his road finery – besides the aviator sunglasses and unlit cigar -- was a pair of bright gold Versace shoes. When asked if those were the loudest shoes he owned, Uribe frowned and said, "What kind of question is that?"
Oh, what Uribe's closet must look like at home in the Dominican Republic.
