Cleveland Indians' Jason Kipnis goes yard and beyond at Camden Yards

BALTIMORE – Jason Kipnis was excited about the homer he hit in the fifth inning Monday night at Camden Yards. He wanted to see how far it went.

Kipnis sent a Dylan Bundy pitch over the right field wall and onto Eutaw Street which runs in back of the ballpark and in front of a huge brick warehouse. MLB’s Statcast measured the homer at 401 feet.

“If that’s all I get on that, I have to rethink my approach,” said Kipnis, kiddingly. “I might have to try and stop hitting them.”

There was better news coming.
