Box Score · Clippers improve to 38-39
Chase DeLauter batted leadoff Saturday and he led off the game with a home run, his fourth of the season. He is batting .311 with a .949 OPS for Columbus, which would lead all players on the Guardians, including Jose Ramirez. Perhaps the most promising part of DeLauter’s home run was he did it against MLB veteran Kenta Maeda.
C.J. Kayfus reached base twice with a pair of walks. The Clippers only had three hits in the game, but two of them were home runs.
