Carrasco exits game with right forearm contusion after being hit by line drive

CLEVELAND– Carlos Carrasco exited Saturday’s game against the Minnesota Twins in the second inning after he was struck in his right arm by a line drive from Minnesota’s Joe Mauer.

The official word from the club came down that Carrasco exited the game with a right forearm contusion. He is being sent to the hospital for cautionary X-rays.

The ball appeared to hit Carrasco near his right elbow. He almost immediately dropped his globe as trainers and manager Terry Francona went out to the mound.

The Tribe hurler has an unfortunate history of being nailed with line drives.
