Box Score · Clippers improve to 30-31
After being blanked in his first rehab outing, Abraham Almonte played a big part in the Columbus Clippers’ 8-4 win over the Louisville Bats, going 2-for-4 with a run batted in and leading off the game with a hit.
Everyone but Mike Papi recorded a hit in the win, with Almonte, Richie Shaffer, Eric Stamets, Erik Kratz, and Nellie Rodriguez all finishing with two. Rodriguez has been abysmal in Triple-A this season, but the 22-year-old is 3-for-7 in his last two games, with a home run and six runs batted in.
