The Futures Game took place Saturday and Parker Messick was the starting pitcher for the American League team. Messick pitched a scoreless first inning with one strikeout, giving up one hit and a walk as well.
C.J. Kayfus also represented Cleveland in the Futures Game, going 0-for-2 with a walk in his three plate appearances.
