Akron RubberDucks swept by Hartford Yard Goats

HARTFORD, Connecticut -- Catcher Francisco Mejia and outfielder Joe Sever each had solo homers, the only runs the RubberDucks could muster Sunday as the Yard Goats completed a three-game sweep of Akron with a 5-2 win.

The game was tied, 1-1, in the fourth when Hartford sent eight batters to the plate and scored four runs off RubberDucks starter Nick Pasquale (3-3, 3.30 ERA) to take control. Hartford's Anthony Phillips hit a two-run homer during the inning.

That ended the day for Pasquale, who gave up five runs, three earned, and six hits in four innings.
