AKRON, Ohio -- It is All-Star time in the Rubber City as the Akron RubberDucks, the Eastern League Class AA affiliate for the Cleveland Indians, will host the EL All-Star Game on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Canal Park.
Festivities begin Tuesday with a Celebrity Softball Game at 7 p.m. featuring former Cleveland Indians infielder Carlos Baerga and outfielder Travis Hafner, plus former Olympian and Akron native Butch Reynolds and former Crunch All-Star Hector Marinaro.
Also Tuesday, at 8:05, is the Eastern League Home Run Derby, featuring the RubberDucks Bradley Zimmer and Nellie Rodriguez among the eight participants, four from each division.
