RICHMOND, Virginia -- Yu-Cheng Chang hit a three-run homer as the Akron RubberDucks tried to rally from a 5-0 deficit in the ninth inning, but the effort fell short in a 5-4 loss Sunday to the Flying Squirrels.
Akron loaded the bases with one out in the ninth off Squirrels closer Tyler Cyr. Luigi Rodriguez hit a sacrifice fly to make the score 5-1. Then Chang put a scare into the Squirrels with his three-run homer to left field, making it 5-4 with two outs.
Dorssys Paulino singled to keep the rally alive, and Richmond replaced Cyr with Collin Balester.
