READING, Pennsylvania -- The RubberDucks tried to rally after falling behind, 6-0, but didn't have quite enough to erase the deficit, losing Tuesday night, 6-4, to the Fightin Phils.
The RubberDucks were playing from behind the entire game as right-hander Nick Pasquale (3-6, 5.45 ERA) struggled through 4 2/3 innings, giving up six runs on eight hits.
Meanwhile, Phils right-hander Tommy Bergjans (1-0, 3.27 ERA) cruised through the first five innings, holding Akron hitless and scoreless. Dorssys Paulino ended the no-hitter and shutout with a homer to lead off the sixth, and Jordan Smith added a solo shot.
