Once again going with a roster of roster hopefuls, the Cavaliers took another Eastern Conference rival using their regulars to their limit – going toe-to-toe with Dwyane Wade, Rajon Rondo and the Bulls before falling, 118-108, on Friday night in Chicago.
With nearly all of the squad’s veterans and rotation players sitting out the second half of the back-to-back in the Windy City, the Cavaliers went with a starting lineup of DeAndre Liggins, Cory Jefferson, Jonathan Holmes, Jordan McRae and rookie Kay Felder. And as they did on Monday night in Atlanta, Tyron Lue’s team scrapped high above their pay-grade.
