Rubber Match: 2017 Finals vs. 2015 and 2016 Finals

With each team winning once, this year’s battle will be the rubber match of the NBA Finals trilogy.

Although there are many of the same storylines still in place from the last two Finals, the 2017 version of Cavaliers-Warriors has a few twists that will make this series different from the past two seasons.

The biggest difference between the 2017 Finals and the last two Finals is Golden State’s addition of Kevin Durant.

Durant is one of the top five players in the NBA, and is potentially the second best player behind LeBron James. Although neither player is in the running for NBA MVP, they both have led their teams on impressive runs during the postseason.
