Richard Jefferson's ex-business manager indicted in $7M defrauding of the Cavs forward

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Richard Jefferson was defrauded of $7 million by his former business manager, according to a June 14 indictment in the U.S. District Court in Tucson, Arizona.

Theodore Kritza, the ex-business manager, has been charged with 22 counts of bank fraud, wire fraud and aggravated identity theft, according to reporting from Tucson.com and the Arizona Daily Star.

Kritza was not officially Jefferson's agent. But from the time the current-Cleveland Cavaliers forward left the University of Arizona for the 2001 NBA Draft until Jefferson realized what was going on, Kritza had been responsible for organizing his finances, paying his credit card bills and helping him buy cars, according to the indictment.
