The news of Fred McCleod’s sudden death shocked us all yesterday. I don’t know about you, but I got teary reading through all the tributes to a man whose simple ethos by all accounts seemed to be: work hard; be a good person. There are too few people like that in the world, and now there is one less. I thought it would be appropriate to get a few perspectives from our staff on Mr. McLeod’s passing and what he meant to each of us and the community.
