The fifth grade class from Henry Defer Intermediate School in Streetsboro saw firsthand on Wednesday how ‘super’ fun reading can be. The 30 students spent the afternoon at Cleveland Clinic Courts as part of the Cavs “Read to Achieve” program, presented in association with DDR.
Part of this month’s Read to Achieve classroom activity called for the students to identify a hero in their everyday lives and then read a book with a similar main character. On Wednesday, they were able to combine those real-life heroes with fictional superheroes and basketball.
