Podcap: Cleveland 100, Charlotte 98 (or, Peppermint Hot Rods)

Weird subtitle to a weird game. Cleveland played like hot rods, zooming out to a 24 point lead by the early third quarter. Then they let their foot off the gas, and were dusted by 19 point fourth quarter explosion by Terry Rozier. That combined with 16 second half turnovers by Cleveland fueled a ridiculous Charlotte comeback attempt over the game’s final eight minutes. Cleveland got super sloppy after going up big in the third and just started giving the ball away and not playing defense. Despite trading Rozier triples for one or two free throw possessions down the stretch, the Cavs looked like they had it salted away with a two point lead and the ball with eight seconds left.
