Mike Dunleavy made a guest appearance on The Vertical‘s podcast, hosted by Los Angeles Clippers guard J.J. Redick.
Dunleavy was recently acquired by the Cleveland Cavaliers in a trade with the Chicago Bulls. This is the first time that Dunleavy has spoken publicly about the trade. When Redick asked about it, Dunleavy offered both a personal and professional take.
“It was bittersweet personally, but I was very excited professionally,” Dunleavy said. “It’s probably the best outcome I could have had.”
Of course, Dunleavy would have been squeezed out of playing time with the news that the Bulls were signing Dwyane Wade.
