INDEPENDENCE: The wall between LeBron James and Kyrie Irving is gone now.
There is no way to put a date on when the breakthrough came, when the Cavaliers’ stars gained the trust in their relationship that has helped them carry their team to the Eastern Conference finals.
The fact that Irving mentioned it showed what had to transpire after James rode in on his white horse July 11 to clean up the mess of a franchise that Irving had been forced to endure for three seasons.
Their bond was evident Monday as Irving joined James for his around-the-world shooting game that concludes many a session at Cleveland Clinic Courts.
