LeBron James to Sit Regular Season Finale

LeBron James will not play in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ regular season finale Wednesday night against the Toronto Raptors.

David Griffin announced the decision to rest James during Tuesday’s practice.

If the Cavs lose, they will finish with the second seed in the Eastern Conference and the Boston Celtics would own home court advantage, should they meet in the Conference Finals.

James is reportedly resting due to a strained calf, but whether it’s a serious issue or not, having roughly one full week to rest should help 32-year-old four-time MVP be as fresh as one could hope for heading into the Playoffs.
