Whoever said the regular season didn’t matter must not have told Paul George heading into April 2nd’s showdown with LeBron James and the Cavs.
The Cavs came away with a hard-earned 135-130 victory and had to fight down to the closing seconds.
The Indiana Pacers are fighting for playoff survival and George put the team on his back for much of the night, scoring a game-high 43 points with nine rebounds and nine assists.
George hit one clutch shot after another to keep the game alive, but in the end, LeBron’s 41 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists helped lead the Cavs over the hurdle.
