Kyrie Irving announces birth of his daughter, says 'she came into the world to bring a shine to my world'

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving is a father, announcing the exciting news on Instagram and Facebook Tuesday night.

Irving, who continues to recover following surgery on a fractured kneecap, was excused before Monday's 117-103 win against the Orlando Magic. One day later, he showed the reason, posting a picture of him holding newborn baby girl Azurie Elizabeth Irving, who was born Monday.

He also sent a heartfelt message.

"Azurie Elizabeth Irving, 35 hours of labor from her great mother and she came into the world to bring a shine to my world that I never thought was possible," Irving wrote.
