J.R. Smith is a treasure to cover for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He says silly things. He does silly things. He arrives on electric skateboards that, until he was seen with, many had never seen before.
JR opted out of his contract, hoping to get paid after a good season with LeBron, only to return on a one year deal. He acted like it was no big deal that he signed for less than his original option was.
That is just the way JR does things.
So tonight, while I was covering the Cavs game against the Memphis Grizzlies, it wasn’t overly shocking to see JR with money in his hand.
