Former Cleveland Cavalier and now keynote motivational speaker, Lance Allred, has had a lot of “firsts” in his life including becoming the first legally deaf player in NBA History with 80% hearing loss back in 2008. Now, he can call himself the first NBA Player to give a TEDx talk after having the opportunity to take the stage at TEDxSaltLakeCity on September 17, 2016.
“Having a great story isn’t enough for a TED talk," says the 6'11" Allred. "Everyone has their story, and by right, stories are important. But you have to have something not only different and unique, but you also have to have an ‘idea worth spreading.
